15 Jun High Brow Cat’s Rock On at PCCHA 5/6 Challenge
High Brow Cat progeny were the star of the show during the Pacific Coast Cutting Horse Association Core Balance Classic/Challenge June 12, taking home the win and reserve championship.
Gary Gonsalves rode Sally Cats Meow to the win to with a score of 223.5 to earn $12,000 for owner Iron Rose Ranch of Carbondale, Colorado. The five-year-old mare is out of Rey Down Salley.
The reserve was taken home by Cattalou, shown by Beau Galyean for owner Curtis Chester of Weatherford, Texas. Out of Louella Again, who has another foal with High Brow Cat this year, the duo marked a 222 from the first draw in the 20-horse finals to earn $9,000.
Included in the top 10 were Sweets Little Cat, placing fourth with a score of 219 piloted by rider Austin Shepard to earn $6,000, while This Cats Got Style, out of Moms Stylish Pepto was in eighth to earn $4,875 under the guidance of Dustin Gonnet.
